Each lesson takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
Big idea
Our own evidence can show what we tried and learned.
Words
- evidence something that helps show what happened
- museum place to share things and stories
- explain tell how or why
- next what comes after
Talk together
- Which page shows your own test?
- What would you tell a visitor?
- What do you still want to find out?
Get ready
- Child portfolio, ten monthly pages, simple table stations and optional recording device operated by adult.
Safety
- Roll a soft ball on a clear floor away from stairs, doors and people; never throw it. Short strings stay on the table, never around a body.
- A grown-up stays close. Never look at the Sun; use hats, sunscreen and shade breaks. The adult checks surfaces first; do not touch anything hot.
- A grown-up stays within reach of water. Use small amounts in shallow unbreakable trays, away from power; wipe spills and wash hands. Do not drink test water.
- Only a grown-up uses scissors or cuts cardboard. Keep small pieces out of mouths; use large cards.

How to help
Let your child listen, look and try before you explain. Point to the next picture if needed. Accept drawing, pointing or a voice response; writing is optional. Save the child’s own work with a date.
